About Carlsbad International School (CIS)
Carlsbad International School (CIS) is an exclusive international boarding school in the Czech Republic, opening in August 2014.
The school is located in central Europe to the west of Prague, in the beautiful spa town of Karlovy Vary (also known as Carlsbad). Prague International Airport is easily accessible from the school.
CIS is a worldwide institution, offering 13-to-17 year-olds a unique and rich academic experience.
As an International Baccalaureate (IB) candidate school, CIS will enrol students in grades 9 and 10 in a co-ed high school programme with the objective of being authorised to offer the prestigious IB Diploma (IB DP) for their first class of graduates.
CIS recently invested several million euros for school renovation, in order to create a new and innovative 21st century learning centre . The school has high-quality international education experts, coupled with small personalised classes and a ‘tight-knit’ and vibrant campus atmosphere to inspire students.
CIS are not only concerned with knowledge and learning. Their students will foster a solid foundation of knowledge, but additionally secure access to a world-renowned diploma for admission to higher education institutions in the United States, Europe and other countries in the world. Education at CIS prepares and teaches international students to adapt to the development of the modern world, and helps students’ find their own way of realising their ambitions.

CIS offer core curriculum subjects including Maths, English, Science, Humanities, Languages and the Arts.
Entering grades 11 and 12 grades, students’ will learn the International Baccalaureate program. Students will also participate in sports activities organised by the school to aid them in receiving a healthy approach to learning and development.

Day Students: €12,500 per academic year
Application Fee: €250
Included in the fees is the school health insurance. Also included are a range of services for international students and theor families. Among these services is support for families who need student visas to study in the Czech Republic.
