About Blair Academy

Blair Academy is a private college-preparatory school. It is optional to be a day or lodging student.

Standing at the foot of Pocono, the campus covers an area of 315 acres, and neighbors Blairstown with beautiful scenery. It is a 30-minute ride to New York and only 2 hours’ drive to Philadelphia.

Faculties are devoted to the education and fostering of over 400 students. In the school, students can receive diverse teaching created by quality teachers. Students can communicate well with teachers via small class (8-12 students). The teacher-student rate is 1:7. The Board of Directors runs the school, and most are schoolfellows.

Students that have graduated from Blair Academy attract lots of famous universities. Service Facilities

Timken library has first-class facilities, including classrooms and a computer centre, which was opened in 1998. Internet is available and computers inside the library can be utilised by the students.

There are nine dormitory buildings for students of different grades. A management committee, which consists of teachers and students, is provided for each building.

There are also four teaching buildings including Clinton, Bogle, Timken lab and Armstrong-Hipkins Art Centre. The Romano dining room was completed in the fall of 2000.

Sports

The school has 28 sport teams including baseball, basketball, running, football, golf, icebreaker hockey and swimming.
