About Miss Porter’s School

Established in 1843, Miss Porter’s School is an all girls’ school, which mainly enrols students of grades 9-12 (both day and lodging). The Connecticut Association of Private Schools, New England Association of Schools and Colleges, the Association of Boarding Schools and the Connecticut Educational Department accredited it.

The school covers an area of 50 acres, and it is only a five-minute journey to Farmington River. Harvard, in the State of Connecticut, is 9 miles from the school and students make full use of the social and cultural resources in these locales.

It is also easy to reach New York and Boston. For the school, the classroom is the core place of value. This is where you can find the coexistence of enthusiasm, energy, profundity and sagacity.

There is a strict air of education and attention is paid to building sound relations between teachers and students. Students feel happy to participate in any events, whether it is a party or school meeting.
