About Stevenson School

Established in 1952, Stevenson School is a college preparatory and art school (day and lodging), which covers an area of 80 acres. It has been developing rapidly since it was first established. In 1964, the school was invited to be a member of the American Association of Excellent Schools due to its distinguished achievements, and was accredited by the Association of Independent Schools and the Association of West Schools and California Educational Department. After 50 years development, the school has 754 students (530 students are high school students).

Located in Pebble Beach, famous in the U.S., the school neighbors the world famous golf course, which is the most beautiful place in the U.S. and around the world. In the pasty one hundred years, the school has provided quality education for students to be admitted to universities. In addition, it creates conditions to exert the talent and endowment of students to the maximum so as to enable them to make more contributions to the society. There are about 14 students in each class, and the teacher-student ratio is 1:14.

Requirements for Admission

SSAT results are needed for applicants who apply for grades 9-10; PSAT and SAT results are needed for applicants who apply for grades 11-12. TOEFL results alone are not considered sufficient proof of English language skills, and interviewing is necessary.

Service Facilities

There are a rich variety of books in the school library, totaling 12,000, as well as various DVD’s. Computer networks include Internet, LAN and wireless connections.

The dormitory building has excellent facilities, and there are plenty of shops and bookstores around.

Sports

The school pays more attention to the sports of students, and arranges professional coaches for instruction. Main sports include ice hockey, golf, rugby, basketball, football, volleyball, swimming, track and field and tennis.
